Oh also, if you have any personal questions you want to ask me, my personal blog is here. And if you want to be a mod PLEASE DON’T HESITATE TO ASK ME.

Okay, I want to clarify a few things:

Why aren’t more people freaking out about the new Venezuelan labor law?

You know, the one that gives housewives/full-time mothers a pension— wages for housework?

It’s ONLY A HUGE VICTORY FOR FEMINISM, SOCIALISM, AND WOMEN OF COLOR. Not a big deal or anything. Tumblr is mysteriously silent about this.

Makpal Abdrazakova, the only female eagle hunter in Kazakhstan.

Kickin’ ass and lookin’ fine.

I just googled this woman.  Apparently she is also training to be a lawyer!  I suppose hunting with a live eagle while looking utterly gorgeous is just not enough accomplishment for her.

Anonymous asked: my family is white and american, which means we are some very privileged people. but we are also muslim, and I had been muslim since the day I was born. people either think I am lying or feel the need to try to convert me to a "more positive religion" such as christianity or catholism. the people shouting about being oppressed are oppressing me.

Anonymous asked: my father was born in italy, and my mother was born in ireland, and they both came to the states and married and blah blah blah: they had me. I look mostly italian and I have a sharp accent and I speak italian fluently, because it's important to keep to my roots, but I have my mother's very pale, very fair skin. seeing so many darker colors in my family, I've come to support woc as much as I can, but people only see my white skin and judge me as a stereotypical fake. how can I change this?

listen to woc

that really is it.

Anonymous asked: jw not judging or anything and of course you don't have to answer if you don't want to but why did you stop being MUSLIM?

ask on my personal, yennasollapoghirai.

Anonymous asked: I am black/chinese but nobody in my family has ever lived in Africa or China in the past century, nor do they participate in either culture. But I'm really interested in both cultures! Is it cultural appropriation to try to learn more about Africa and China, possibly wear the clothing, and/or learn the languages?

Why would it be cultural appropriation to learn about your culture tho?

Anonymous asked: I live in an area that has a lot of Muslim immigrants. I see a lot of girls my age with absolutely gorgeous scarves used for their hijabs. I want to tell them I think the fabric is lovely but I don't know if that's offensive or not since the hijab is religious. Any suggestions?

um i dont think that’s offensive but this isn’t really a question for me

i can’t answer EVERYTHING

there has been people asking me about cultural appropriation but again, i am just one desi girl. i may consider one thing cultural appropriation but others won’t, and vice versa. I cannot speak for everyone.
