Whatever Laci Green has got, those death threats? Yeah, those are cruel. Those are wrong. That person is a shithead.

But that does not take away the legitimate criticism that most WoC have been talking about. Talking about Islam is a terrible sexist religion when a) she’s not a Muslim and b) she’s talking OVER the Muslim women who are saying that it is not is wrong. The apology was not an apology, it was another one of those baww I hate political correctness bullcrap.

And now people are getting up in arms about how terrible social justice bloggers are when no one really knows who did it. It could have been just a troll using the social justice excuse to make her be silent. And that’s wrong.

But what is riling me up is that so many of her supporters defending her insist that somehow the criticism should be gone because of threats. SO many WoC have gotten rape and death threats, but where’s the outrage then? Why is it that when a prominent white feminist gets threats, everyone supports her and then steps over the people who are simply criticizing and nothing else? Especially cis men who have no idea what the fuck they are talking about in terms of women’s struggles? 

So many apologists are coming out from hiding now. I’m not saying she’s a bad person, but ‘everyone makes mistakes’ is not an excuse for spreading bigoted shit.
